In early 2011 a massive blizzard swept across America from New Mexico to New England. Our time lapse weather cameras were able to capture footage of the storm as it came through Central Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks, giving you a high definition view of the snowpocalypse.

Camera #1 looks to the southeast towards Red Bud Cove. As the weight of the snow increases you will see the dock sink until the roof touches the water! Believe it or not, the dock is designed to offset the extra weight this way and will pop back up once the snow melts.

Camera #2 looks to the west and captures a wide-swath of the lake, showing the ebb and flow of snow and ice as it moves through the channel. The lake rarely freezes all the way across from shore to shore but the temperatures after the main blizzard have been favorable to promote it!

We will continue to update this page as new developments occur. You might also want to check out our Time Lapse Movie Gallery to see how the lake looks at various times of the year.
