Third Time is a Charm! Once again in between crashes we had time to re do what was printed on the picture. Thank Goodness WE Did! Now we not only have a date but a approximate time Lakecam started running. Once we got the Mac macro running again it ran pretty consistent for about 8-12 hours then it would crash. Easy solution to that problem was just to reboot the computer. :) After a few weeks or not much more than a month Snappy came out with a device that would allow video capture from a portable Video Camera, that connected to a video card on a Windows Based System. We wrote our own software to take the picture and have it update pictures every minute with little problems. After a few months we found a program online called WebCam32 that was 20-30 bucks did all our program did an more thus it was not worth our time to develop the original program we ran LakeCam with. WebCam32 updated our pictures every 30 seconds easily. Problem back then doing it faster than that was most everyone was dial up and it took them 10-20 seconds to dload the picture.
