Missouri's winter eagle watching is spectacular, you can see eagles flying all around. The spillway at Bagnel dam is a good place to see them.
Visitors from around the country come to Lake of the Ozarks to view our national symbol in the wild. From late December through early
February, watch for eagles perched in large trees along the water's edge. View early in the morning to see the eagles flying and hunting for fish.
One of my fondest memories of eagles was watching one years back. In the winter when the lake was froze over. He flew down landed on the ice, walked
over and started eating a fish. The bald eagle was about 60 feet off our shoreline.
